Claude Morgan, born Claude Youcef Eliaou Ganem in 1947 in Sousse, Tunisia, is a French singer and songwriter known for his significant contributions to the music industry. He began his career in 1967 with Barclay Records and gained recognition with the song "Barbara, Barbarella" in 1968. Throughout his career, Morgan released numerous singles under labels such as Barclay, CBS Disques, and Philips Records.

In 1973, he composed the Eurovision-winning song "Tu te reconnaîtras" for Anne-Marie David. He also wrote "Hasta Luego" for Hugues Aufray and the instrumental "Slag Solution." The following year, he composed songs for artists like Gérard Lenorman and Michel Delpech, with some tracks gaining international recognition.

Morgan is perhaps best known for co-founding the euro disco group Bimbo Jet with Laurent Rossi. The group achieved worldwide fame with the hit "El Bimbo," which topped charts in several countries and was featured in the "Police Academy" films. Morgan continued to compose successful songs throughout the 1970s and 1980s for artists like Enrico Macias and Karen Cheryl.

Despite a car accident that affected his ability to play guitar, Morgan remained active in the music industry, transitioning to composing and producing. In the 2000s, he produced Arielle Dombasle's debut album "Liberta." Claude Morgan's work has left a lasting impact on French and international music.
