Andreas Gabalier
Andreas Gabalier, born on November 21, 1984, in Friesach, Austria, is a renowned Austrian folk and rock singer-songwriter. He is celebrated for his unique fusion of traditional Alpine folk music with modern rock elements. Gabalier grew up in Graz, Austria, as the second oldest of four children in the family of Wilhelm and Huberta Gabalier. His musical journey began after graduating from commercial high school and starting law studies in Graz. He writes and composes his own songs, initially recording them in a hobby studio.
Gabalier's debut album, "Da komm ich her," released in 2009, marked the beginning of his successful career, showcasing his distinctive style. He gained widespread recognition with subsequent albums like "Volks-Rock’n’Roller" and "Mountain Man." His hit single "Hulapalu," released in 2015, sold over a million copies, earning him a prestigious Diamond Award. Known for his high-energy live performances, Gabalier has captivated audiences with his emotional sincerity and dynamic stage presence, notably performing before 70,000 fans at Munich’s Olympic Stadium in 2016.
