Armando Christian Pérez, known by his stage name Pitbull, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor born on January 15, 1981, in Miami, Florida. He is the son of Cuban immigrants, with his mother arriving in the U.S. through Operation Peter Pan and his father participating in the 1980 Mariel Boatlift. Raised in Miami, Pitbull was influenced by the Miami bass genre and artists like Celia Cruz and Willy Chirino.

Pitbull's early career began with a feature on Lil Jon's 2002 album "Kings of Crunk." He released his debut album "M.I.A.M.I." in 2004 under TVT Records, which included the hit single "Culo." His subsequent albums, "El Mariel" (2006) and "The Boatlift" (2007), continued to build his reputation. His fourth album, "Pitbull Starring in Rebelution" (2009), marked his mainstream breakthrough with hits like "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and "Hotel Room Service."

Transitioning to a pop-oriented sound, Pitbull achieved commercial success with albums "Planet Pit" (2011) and "Global Warming" (2012), featuring chart-topping singles such as "Give Me Everything" and "Feel This Moment." His 2013 single "Timber," featuring Kesha, became a global hit. In 2014, he performed "We Are One (Ole Ola)" for the FIFA World Cup.

Pitbull has released several albums, including "Dale" (2015), "Climate Change" (2017), and "Libertad 548" (2019). Known for his energetic party anthems, he has sold over 25 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide, earning him the nickname "Mr. Worldwide." Beyond music, Pitbull is involved in business ventures and activism, including supporting the SLAM Organization's charter schools.
