Amy Grant
Amy Lee Grant, born on November 25, 1960, in Augusta, Georgia, is a renowned American singer-songwriter and musician. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, where her exposure to hymns and Christian stories in church profoundly influenced her musical career. Grant began her career in contemporary Christian music (CCM) in the late 1970s and became known as "The Queen of Christian Pop." Her debut album was released in 1977, and she quickly gained fame in the Christian music scene with hits like "Father's Eyes" and "El Shaddai."

In the mid-1980s, Grant successfully crossed over to mainstream pop music with albums like "Unguarded" and "Lead Me On." Her 1991 album "Heart in Motion" marked a significant turning point, featuring the hit single "Baby Baby" and selling five million copies in the U.S. This album solidified her status as a crossover artist, blending gospel with pop rock and soft rock genres.

Throughout her career, Grant has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, won six Grammy Awards, and received 22 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. She was the first Christian artist to have a platinum-certified album. In recognition of her contributions to the entertainment industry, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006 and was honored with the Kennedy Center Honors in 2022.

Grant's personal life has been marked by her marriages to fellow musician Gary Chapman and later to country star Vince Gill, with whom she shares a daughter. Despite facing health challenges, including a traumatic brain injury in 2022, Grant has continued to perform and inspire audiences with her music. Her memoir, "Mosaic: Pieces of My Life So Far," and other writings reflect her deeply personal and spiritual journey.
