Bucks Fizz
Bucks Fizz was an English pop group formed in January 1981 specifically to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest. The original lineup consisted of Bobby G, Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan, and Jay Aston. They achieved international fame after winning the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Making Your Mind Up," which became a major hit. The group was known for their energetic performances and memorable dance routines, including the one where the male members famously tore off the female members' skirts to reveal mini-skirts underneath.

Following their Eurovision success, Bucks Fizz enjoyed a successful career throughout the 1980s, particularly in the UK, where they scored three number one hits: "Making Your Mind Up," "The Land of Make Believe," and "My Camera Never Lies." They also had several other top 10 hits, such as "Now Those Days Are Gone" and "If You Can't Stand the Heat." Despite their popularity in the UK, they were less successful in the United States.

The group underwent several lineup changes over the years, with Jay Aston leaving in 1985 and being replaced by Shelley Preston. Although Bobby G's version of Bucks Fizz has been largely inactive since 2018, a spin-off group called The Fizz, consisting of former members, continues to perform. Bucks Fizz's legacy includes a discography of five studio albums, numerous compilation albums, and 24 singles, with their music remaining popular among fans of 1980s pop.
