Maurice Chevalier
Maurice Auguste Chevalier (12 September 1888 – 1 January 1972) was a renowned French singer, actor, and entertainer whose career spanned seven decades. He gained fame in the Paris music hall scene and later in Hollywood. Recognizable by his signature boater hat and tuxedo, Chevalier became an international symbol of France, with his exaggerated accent and demeanor contributing to popular French stereotypes. He retired from performing in 1968 but continued to make appearances until the end of his life. His final recording was the titular song from Disney’s "The Aristocats."
