He is most famously associated with the song "The Dolphins," and the only known video footage of him performing this song was captured at The Rolling Coconut Revue on August 2nd, 1976. Despite his significant impact on music, Fred Neil is not widely known today. In the early 1970s, he retreated from his acclaimed music career to focus on researching and protecting dolphins, showcasing his dedication to environmental causes.
