Jakob Bobokhidze
Jakob Bobokhidze was a distinguished composer and sound director born on May 31, 1931, in Kutaisi, Georgian SSR, USSR (now Republic of Georgia). He graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatory in 1957, where he studied composition under A.D. Machavariani. Bobokhidze began his career in 1956 as the chief sound director and later became the musical director for the studio of telefilms at the Committee for Broadcasting and Television of the Georgian SSR in 1970. He was recognized as an Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR in 1967.

Throughout his career, Bobokhidze contributed to numerous films and projects, known for his work in sound and music composition. His filmography includes notable works such as "Erti nakhvit shekvareba" (1975), "Rac kvelaze dzalian gikvars" (2008), and "Rac kvelaze dzalian gikvars 2" (2009). He composed music for various films, including "The Wishing Tree" (1976) and "Love at First Sight" (1975), among others.

In addition to his film work, Bobokhidze composed operas, ballets, and cantatas, including the children's opera-ballet "Buratino" (1971) and the cantata "Cantata o Tbilisi" (1962). He passed away on July 17, 2007, leaving behind a legacy of contributions to Georgian music and film.
