The Weather Girls is a female American duo consisting of Martha Wash and Izora Armstead, best known for their hit "It's Raining Men." They began their musical career in 1976 in San Francisco, California, as the backup duo Two Tons O' Fun for the disco singer Sylvester. In 1979, they signed with Fantasy Records after achieving modest success with Sylvester. Their breakthrough came with the release of "It's Raining Men" in 1982, which became their first number-one dance hit, earning them significant recognition.
