Glen Campbell
Glen Campbell, born in Billstown, Arkansas, in 1936, was the son of a sharecropper. He grew up in a challenging environment, spending much of his early life picking cotton and living in a home without electricity. Despite these hardships, his family was deeply musical, and he learned to play guitar on a $5 Sears & Roebuck instrument. Campbell befriended Elvis Presley in 1964 and assisted him in recording "Viva Las Vegas." Some of his most popular songs include "Wichita Lineman," "Gentle On My Mind," "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "Rhinestone Cowboy," and "Galveston." His notable albums include "See You There" (2013), "Glen Campbell and Jimmy Webb: In Session" (2012), and "Greatest Hits" (2009).
