E-Rotic
E-Rotic is a German Eurodance act formed in 1994 by producer David Brandes. The group initially consisted of German singer Lyane Leigh and American rapper Richard Allen Smith, known as Raz-Ma-Taz. E-Rotic gained fame in Europe with hits like "Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex" and "Fred Come to Bed," known for their sexually themed lyrics and music videos.
In 1996, due to a disagreement with producer David Brandes, both original members left the group. They were replaced by Jeanette Christensen and Terence d'Arby, with d'Arby later being replaced by Ché Jouaner. Despite leaving, Lyane Leigh continued to provide vocals for E-Rotic until 1999. The producer David Brandes was later revealed to be the voice behind the group's rap segments, except for their first album.
Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, E-Rotic experienced several lineup changes, with Jeanette Christensen leaving in 2001 and being replaced by Yasemin Baysal. Lydia Madajewski and Robert Spehar took over vocal duties in the early 2000s. After a hiatus, E-Rotic returned in 2015 with Lyane Leigh and new rapper Stephen Appleton, releasing a new single "Video Starlet" in 2016.
E-Rotic's music found success not only in Europe but also in Japan, and their compilation "Greatest Tits" was released on vinyl in 2020. The group remains active, continuing to produce music and perform live.
