Bobby Sherman
Bobby Sherman, born Robert Cabot Sherman Jr. on July 22, 1943, in Santa Monica, California, was an American singer and actor who gained fame as a teen idol in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He began his career as the house singer on the television program "Shindig" from 1964 to 1966. After the show was canceled, Sherman made guest appearances on various TV shows, including "The Monkees" and "The FBI," before landing a starring role in "Here Come The Brides" from 1968 to 1970. His appearance on "The Partridge Family" led to a spin-off series, "Getting Together," in 1971.
Sherman's music career included several albums and singles, with hits like "Little Woman" and "Julie, Do Ya Love Me." He was part of the Teen Idol Tour alongside Peter Noone and Davy Jones, later replaced by Micky Dolenz.
In addition to his entertainment career, Sherman served as a Captain in the Los Angeles Police Department, where he taught CPR and life-saving techniques. He was also involved with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in a similar capacity.
Bobby Sherman passed away on June 24, 2025, from cancer. He was married twice, first to Patricia Anne Carnel, with whom he had two sons, and later to Brigitte Poublon. Sherman's contributions to music and television, along with his public service, left a lasting legacy.
