Jim Vallance
Jim Vallance, born in 1952 in Chilliwack, British Columbia, is a renowned Canadian songwriter whose career spans over five decades. He initially gained recognition as the original drummer and main songwriter for the Canadian rock band Prism, writing their first single, "Spaceship Superstar," which was famously played on the Discovery space shuttle. Vallance's career took a significant turn when he met Bryan Adams in 1978, marking the beginning of a prolific songwriting partnership. Together, they co-wrote three platinum-selling albums, including hits like "Cuts Like a Knife," "Heaven," and "Summer of '69," achieving substantial success on the Billboard Hot 100.

Vallance's songwriting prowess extends beyond his collaboration with Adams. He has penned songs for a diverse array of artists, including Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Heart, Alice Cooper, Bonnie Raitt, Carly Simon, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, and many others.
