Jerry Harrison
Jerry Harrison, born Jeremiah Griffin Harrison on February 21, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a renowned American musician, songwriter, and producer. He began his musical journey as a member of the band The Modern Lovers in the early 1970s. Harrison later gained prominence as the keyboardist and guitarist for the influential new wave band Talking Heads, joining them in 1977. His work with Talking Heads contributed to the band's critical and commercial success, leading to their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
After the disbandment of Talking Heads in 1991, Harrison shifted his focus towards music production, working with notable bands such as Violent Femmes, Live, and No Doubt. He also released several solo albums during his career. Beyond music, Harrison is an entrepreneur, co-founding companies like GarageBand.com and RedCrow. He holds a degree from Harvard College and resides in Marin County, California, with his family.
