Alan Parsons
Alan Parsons OBE, born on December 20, 1948, in Willesden, Middlesex, England, is a renowned English audio engineer, composer, musician, and record producer. He began his illustrious career at Abbey Road Studios, where he worked as an assistant engineer on the Beatles' iconic albums Abbey Road and Let It Be. Parsons gained significant recognition for his engineering work on Pink Floyd's seminal album The Dark Side of the Moon, which earned him his first Grammy nomination.

In 1975, Parsons formed The Alan Parsons Project with Eric Woolfson, a partnership that produced a series of successful albums characterized by their conceptual themes and progressive rock style. The Project released eleven studio albums, with notable successes like I Robot, The Turn of a Friendly Card, and Eye in the Sky. Despite their studio success, the group did not perform live during their original run.

Parsons' solo career continued to flourish after the Project, with albums such as Try Anything Once and A Valid Path. He also ventured into live performances with the Alan Parsons Live Project, delighting audiences worldwide. In 2019, Parsons won his first Grammy Award for Best Immersive Audio Album for the 35th Anniversary Edition of Eye in the Sky.

Beyond music, Parsons has contributed to the field with his instructional video series, The Art & Science Of Sound Recording, sharing his extensive knowledge of sound engineering. Recognized for his contributions to music, Parsons was awarded the OBE in 2021. He resides in California with his wife, Lisa Parsons, whom he married in 2003.
