Holly Knight
Holly Knight, born Holly Erlanger in 1956 in New York City, is a celebrated American songwriter, musician, and singer known for her significant contributions to pop and rock music. She began playing classical piano at the age of four and studied for ten years at The Mannes School of Music. Knight's early career included being a member of the 1980s pop rock groups Spider and Device. She played keyboards on Kiss' "Unmasked" album and co-wrote several hit singles for renowned artists.
Knight's songwriting prowess is evident in hits like "Love Is a Battlefield" and "Invincible" for Pat Benatar, and "The Best" for Tina Turner, among others. Her work has earned her thirteen ASCAP Awards and three Grammy Awards. In 2013, she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
