La Famille
La Famille LeBlanc is a traditional Acadian and Celtic music group from Tétagouche-Nord, New Brunswick, Canada. The group consists of Robin LeBlanc, Rébecca Huot, and their daughters Charlotte, Rosalie, and Mélodie. Robin, an Acadian, and Rébecca, originally from Plessisville, Quebec, are both teachers who initially gained recognition for their self-sufficient lifestyle on their family farm.
The family began performing at various traditional music festivals starting in 2016. They released their first album, "Trois jolies demoiselles," on August 7, 2020, and quickly gained popularity through social media videos. That same year, they were featured in the documentary "Une façon d'être ensemble," directed by Francine Hébert, which won the La Vague award for Best Short Film at the Festival international du cinéma francophone en Acadie.
On May 5, 2023, La Famille LeBlanc released their second album, "Perdrais-je mon temps?" The group has received several accolades, including the 2023 ROSEQ Award at FrancoFête en Acadie and the 2023 Acadie Nouvelle Cultural Personality of the Year. They were also nominated for the 2024 East Coast Music Association's Folk/Traditional Recording of the Year and the Canadian Folk Music Awards' Young Performers of the Year.
