Joe South
Joe South, born Joseph Alfred Souter on February 28, 1940, was an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He gained fame for his songwriting prowess, most notably winning the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1970 for "Games People Play." He was also nominated for the same award in 1972 for "Rose Garden." South's career included notable songs like "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" and "Don't It Make You Want to Go Home." He passed away on September 5, 2012.
