DJ Ötzi
Gerhard "Gerry" Friedle, born on 7 January 1971 in St. Johann in Tirol, Austria, is better known by his stage name DJ Ötzi. He is an Austrian music producer and singer, renowned for his contributions to pop, schlager, and Eurodance genres. DJ Ötzi gained significant popularity in German-speaking countries and is best known internationally for his 2000 single "Hey Baby (Uhh, Ahh)", a cover of Bruce Channel's "Hey! Baby". His stage name is inspired by Ötzi the Iceman, the well-preserved natural mummy found in the Ötztal Alps.

DJ Ötzi's early life was marked by challenges, including being given up for adoption shortly after birth and experiencing homelessness at age 16. Despite these hardships, he found his path in music, initially working as a student cook and later as an entertainer and DJ. His career took off after winning a karaoke competition, leading to performances in Austria, Mallorca, and Turkey.

His debut single "Anton aus Tirol" in 1999 became a major hit in German-speaking countries, and his subsequent album "Das Album" solidified his success. The cover of "Hey Baby" in 2000 brought him international fame, reaching number one in several English-speaking countries. DJ Ötzi continued to release successful singles, including "Burger Dance" and "Ein Stern (...der deinen Namen trägt)" with Nik P., achieving chart-topping hits in Germany and Austria.
